A large part of the public already knew this director, also because he was linked to the first Spider-Man film trilogy , but it was since 2013.

The year of the release of The Great and Powerful Oz , that Raimi had not directed a film for the big screen.

What will there be in its future? We don’t know, especially we don’t know if his partnership with the Marvel Cinematic Universe will continue.

It seems, however, that negotiations are underway for the sequel to one of his most famous titles: Darkman .
Interviewed by The Wrap , the director said:

Yes, Universal is considering a Darkman sequel. There is also a producer involved but I don’t know anything more specific about the story, I didn’t get too informed. I’ve been busy with Doctor Strange. But I think it’s interesting.

The Darkman Story

Released in 1990, Darkman stars Liam Neeson , who plays a brilliant scientist who created synthetic leather.

Believed dead after an explosion and completely disfigured, Peyton Westlake, this is his name, returns to claim revenge against those who tried to kill him.

It is a superhero reinterpretation of the Phantom of the Opera , which actually has already had two sequels released directly for the home video market: Darkman II – The Return of Durant and Darkman III – Darkman you will die , without Liam Neeson and with Raimi involved only in the role of producer.

That’s all for now, as always we will keep you updated on every development.
