The first two legacyquel of Jumanji , starring Dwayne Johnson , Karen Gillan , Jack Black and Kevin Hart.
Did well at the box office and have gained a good fan base, so it is desirable that, in the future, we will see a new chapter in the saga. But when? Interviewed by Collider about his current overwork together with his friend Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as producer of the films that see him as protagonist in addition to Black Adam and Red Notice , Hiram Garcia also had the opportunity to talk about a possible new Jumanji:
It will do. It will, for sure. We have really great ideas for Jumanji’s third film [fourth, considering the one from the 90s, ed]. We just discussed this in a meeting the other day. We will propose it to Sony shortly. But the movie will come. After Red One, but the timing seems to work well with everyone involved, anyway. As you can imagine, Kevin Hart is super busy doing a million things, just like Dwayne Johnson. All the actors are super busy. (…) We will probably go to have a script written soon. Some time after Red One.
On the implementation team, Garcia added:
We love it. And we love Jumanji’s family. The cast, the group of filmmakers, is one of our favorite experiences in the field, we love the whole team, Matt Tolmach, Jake Kasdan. And then when you have Jack Black, Karen Gillan, and Kevin Hart, again, for another one of those special movies where you have a bunch of megastars together and it’s just the best of the best.
Those sets are some of the funniest you can stand on. They are all so kind and wonderful. They look so good together.
It is not the first time that Garcia has taken a stand on this: he had already made similar statements at the beginning of November:
