The Crown , one of Netflix’s – forgive – crown jewels, will conclude with season 6 (the fifth is comingin November).
To bring this goat that lays golden eggs forward, Netflix is thinking about a possible prequel. The studio is discussing it with Left Bank, the company that produces the series.
Obviously it is not known what this prequel to The Crown would be about, if on the era before Elizabeth II , or the era of the Second World War with the reign of George VI , or if we prefer to examine another ruler of very long course like Victoria , who, before Elizabeth II, held the record for the longest reign in British history (63 years). Which would allow Netflix to baste a new series over several seasons on the model of the previous one.
The project, however, is neither in progress nor approved, for now we are only talking about it.
