Paramount Pictures has decided to postpone the new A Quiet Place movie as well . Initially scheduled for March 31, 2023, the release was in fact moved to September 22 of the same year.

Michael Sarnoski will then have about six months more to complete the work, which is good because, after Jeff Nichols ‘ departure , the director of Pig will also have to write the script. The project has been described more as a spin-off than as a true sequel to the two previous films, both directed by John Krasinski . The latter remains involved as a producer with his Sunday Night , and also as the author of the subject (or at least the idea for the spin-off). We can therefore expect a story set in the same narrative universe, but with new characters and perhaps a new setting.

The success of A Quiet Place II

A Quiet Place II debuted with $ 57 million in the United States, an even better result than the first chapter, despite the latter being released well before the pandemic. The global gross was $ 297 million, which is truly remarkable in times like these.

The producers of the spin-off

Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller will produce the Platinum Dunes spin-off , alongside Krasinski on his Sunday Night . Among the executive producers is Allyson Seeger , co-founder of Sunday Night itself .
