ABC RENEWS BIG SKY FOR A THIRD SEASON, STARRING JENSEN ACKLES

Big Sky will be back for a third season on ABC (at Disney +).

David E. Kelley ‘s series(Big Little Lies, The Undoing) has been renewed, and will see the return ofKylie BunburyandKatheryn Winnickin the lead roles. Joining them will be Jensen Ackles , who already appeared in the finale of the second season. The Supernatural star will play Beau Arlen, acting sheriff and new boss of Jenny Hoyt (Winnick), described as a handsome and confident Texan. Ackles has a one-year contract for now.

Jamie-Lynn Sigler was promoted to regular performer in Season 3, following her recurring role in Season 2. She plays Tonya, a diner waitress whose boyfriend mysteriously disappears. Tonya hires Dewell & Hoyt to find him, but shortly thereafter she joins the local crime family.

The plot of the second season

In Big Sky season 2 , private detectives Cassie Dewell (Kylie Bunbury) and Jenny Hoyt (Katheryn Winnick) reunite to investigate a car accident in Helena, Montana. They soon discover that the case may not be as simple as it seems. Untangling the incident, they find themselves facing a gang of unsuspected teenagers, a man from Jenny’s past and a violent outsider looking for answers.

Among the new entries of the second season we find Jamie-Lynn Sigler ( The Sopranos ), Madelyn Kientz ( The Walking Dead: World Beyond ), Troy Johnson ( On My Block ), Lola Reid ( Barkskins ), Jeremy Ray Taylor ( It ), TV Carpio ( Spiderman: Turn Off The Dark ), Arturo Del Puerto ( Camping ) and Janina Gavankar ( Sleepy Hollow ). Also in the cast are Brian Geraghty, Dedee Pfeiffer, Omar Metwally, Anja Savcic, Jesse James Keitel andLogan Marshall-Green ( Upgrade , Prometheus ). The series was created by David E. Kelley from the novels of CJ Box .
