Star Wars fans have the spotlight on Obi-Wan Kenobi.
The series with Ewan McGregor coming to Disney + on May 27, but in the future of the saga there is also a series focused on Ahsoka Tano , the character played by Rosario Dawson is introduced (live-action version) in the second season of The Mandalorian .
According to director and actress Bryce Dallas Howard , who has directed episodes of both The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett , this new series will be able to delight all fans of The Clone Wars .
Interviewed by Romper , Howard said:
Dave Filoni knows the Star Wars universe best of all, except perhaps George Lucas. He was actually led by George while he was doing Clone Wars, they created it together. And we worked together on The Mandalorian. Without revealing anything of the plot, I can say that you will love Ahsoka. I can’t anticipate anything, but if you are a Clone Wars fan you will definitely be rewarded.
Filming for Ahsoka will take place in Los Angeles and will apparently start in early May . We currently don’t know how many episodes the series will consist of.
The cast
Rosario Dawson returns to play Jedi warrior Ahsoka Tano, following her live action debut in the second season of The Mandalorian . Hayden Christensen reprises the role of Anakin Skywalker / Darth Vader, Ahsoka’s master in the animated series The Clone Wars , probably as a Force Phantom. Australian Natasha Liu Bordizzo will play Sabine Wren the character introduced in Star Wars Rebels while Ukrainian Ivanna Sakhno will play a mysterious new character. We will also see Mary Elizabeth Winstead in an unknown role. Ray Stevensoninstead he will be an admiral of the now dismissed Galactic Empire.
What characters will we see?
There are many rumors about the characters that will appear in Ahsoka : there has been talk of Obi-Wan Kenobi , Cassian Andor , Sabine Wren , Grand Admiral Thrawn and Ezra Bridger , for whom Mena Massoud was named . They are not confirmed, however.
Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano
Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano ‘s stories are very close. The latter was in fact the Padawan pupil of the future Darth Vader at the dawn of Clone Wars , but Anakin ‘s passage to the Dark Side led them to opposing factions. The two faced off in Star Wars Rebels , and Ahsoka apparently died in the fight.

Dave Filoni , director and writer of Clone Wars , is writing the series. Filoni is very involved in these live-action shows: he has already worked on The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett .
