The largest e- commerce company also stumbles from time to time.
A woman received more than she ordered when making a purchase on Amazon.
Jen Begakis was in for a really nasty surprise when she found out that she wasn’t just getting a leather chair she bought from Amazon . The box also contained a vial of blood.
The woman posted her discovery on Twitter . “If I told you that the leather chair I ordered from Amazon was packaged with a blood collection tube that is…full, would you believe me? Because I have no words.”
“I am as scared as I am confused,” said Begakis, a PhD candidate. at Cornell University in New York, by sharing a video of the purchase she apparently made from a third party that she was selling through the Amazon Marketplace.

Amazon reached out after Begakis’ complaint in an email that makes the situation seem more normal than it should be.
“I can understand the concern of receiving bodily fluids in a package,” says an Amazon agent .
Aside from ensuring that the seller of the chair had been reported, Amazon offered him a full refund ($156.59), a $100 gift card, and a prepaid return label should he wish to return the chair.
