Ambulance | New Michael Bay movie starring Jake Gyllenhaal gets action-packed trailer

Cast also features Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Eiza González.

Universal released the first trailer for “Ambulance” , a new film by Michael Bay featuring all of the filmmaker’s trademarks, this time with Jake Gyllenhaal as the protagonist. Watch above (without subtitles).

In the plot, Will Sharp (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) is a decorated veteran who is desperate for money to pay his wife’s hospital bills. He then asks for help from the only person he knows he shouldn’t – his adoptive brother Danny (Gyllenhaal). The charismatic criminal then offers a better offer: the biggest bank robbery Los Angeles has ever seen. Will accepts, but when the plan backfires, they hijack an ambulance with an injured police officer and paramedic Cam Thompson (Eiza González), and a high-speed and quite dangerous escape ensues.

The film is based on the Danish original “Ambulancen” by Laurits Munch-Petersen and Lars Andreas Pedersen, and is adapted by Chris Fedak (from the  “Prodigal Son” series ). Michael Bay, who was in charge of the recent “Squad 6” , directs and produces.

Distributed by Universal Pictures, the film is scheduled to premiere on February 18 in theaters in the United States, still undated in Brazil.
