The production of Laal Singh Chaddha took a long time: it took ten years to adapt the script, and another ten to get the rights to Forrest Gump . The film is directed by Advait Chandan , who is in his second direction after Secret Superstar . Atul Kulkarni wrote the screenplay based on Eric Roth ‘s script and Winston Groom ‘s novel . Aamir Khan is also a producer, through his Aamir Khan Productions, along with Kiran Rao and Pawandeep Singh . Cast includes Kareena Kapoor, Naga Chaitanya, Mona Singh, Manav Vij and Aaryaa Sharma.

Laal Singh Chaddha will be released in America by Paramount Pictures on August 11.

Forrest Gump reunion

Meanwhile, in the United States, preparations are underway for the reunion of Robert Zemeckis, Eric Roth, Tom Hanks and Robin Wright . The director, screenwriter and protagonists of Forrest Gump will return to collaborate in the film Here , an adaptation of the graphic novel of the same name by Richard McGuire . Unlike the 90s classic, however, the new film will be set in a single location in New England. At first a wasteland, that place will become a home, where couples and families will experience love, loss, fatigue and hope over the generations, from the past to the distant future. Filming will begin in September.
