An iPhone Ultra instead of a Pro Max, Apple’s bet for 2023

According to Bloomberg, the iPhone 15 will rebrand the most expensive model in its lineup.

Apple is thinking of changing the brands of its iPhone from 2023 and presenting, instead of the Pro Max, the iPhone Ultra .

The report comes from Mark Gurman, from Bloomberg, who also refers that iPhone 15 would already officially bet on USB-C.

Changes in the iPhone 15 Pro Max

The iPhone 14 hasn’t even been out for a month yet, but rumors about the iPhone 15 have already begun to circulate .

The Pro Max name first appeared with the iPhone 11 in 2019, and adding the Ultra brand to the iPhone lineup wouldn’t be that surprising, given that it’s already being used in the Watch Ultra and the M1 Ultra processor.

The change from Pro Max to Ultra would be in name only. In physical and software, the team would have the same value, becoming the older brother of the family that will be launched in 2023.

iPhone 15 and what is expected

Supply chain analyst Ross Young predicts that the new Dynamic Island feature could come standard on all iPhone 15 models and no longer just the Pro and Pro Max (or Ultra) models.

The iPhone 15 is also rumored to already come with USB-C instead of Apple ‘s proprietary Lightning port . Gurman says the company has already started testing the new feature ahead of the implementation of a law in the European Union that will require all new phones to have USB-C ports by spring 2024.
