A tab on the Fandango site reveals the duration of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania , which would be equal to 125 minutes (that is, 2 hours and 5 minutes).
The conditional is a must, pending official communications from Disney .
However, if the duration were confirmed, it would be the longest film of this specific franchise: the first Ant-Man in fact settled on 117 minutes, while the second chapter lasted just one minute longer. 125 minutes may seem short for a cinecomic that will introduce Kang the Conqueror , MODOK and other characters, but this duration follows an increasingly common trend in the Marvel Cinematic Universe : in this regard, we also recall that Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness and Thor: Love and Thunder hovered over similar durations. Black Panther: Wakanda Foreverit was much longer, but that was a special case, for obvious reasons.
The impression by now is that Marvel Studios does not want to impose exaggerated minutes where they would be purely free. Three or four MCU movies a year, and all 150/180 minutes long, would risk alienating audiences.
As we know, Scott Lang ( Paul Rudd ) will have to protect his family from the aforementioned Kang ( Jonathan Majors ), who will assign him a mission in exchange for freedom. The Conqueror will be the main antagonist of the Multiverse Saga , so this is an important chapter in the overall scheme.
The release is expected on February 15, 2023 . We will keep you posted.
