Apple: iOS 16 will not be compatible with these iPhone models

iOS 16 will be available for all iPhones released since 2017 .


Apple presented this Monday at WWDC 2022 the news that the update of its operating system for iPhone, iOS 16 , will have . However, not all its users will be able to enjoy it.

According to the company, when it arrives in the spring, iOS 16  will be available for all phones released since 2017; that is, from the iPhone 8.

This will mean iPhone 6S, iPhone 7, and iPhone SE (1st generation) users won’t be able to update to iOS 16 .

iPads that won’t be able to receive iPadOS 16

In the case of the new iPadOS update , Apple will not update the iPad Mini 4 and iPad Air 2.

The Apple Watch that will be able to receive watchOS 9

In the case of its smart watches, Apple asks users to have a Watch Series 4 or above to use watchOS 9 . Recall that Apple Watch Series 3 users were able to install watchOS 7 and watchOS 8, but some features were not available.
