An October 2022 report from CCS Insight analysts claimed that Apple plans to use a foldable iPad in 2024 as practice for foldable technology before adopting it on the iPhone.
Bloomberg ‘s Mark Gurman has previously noted that Apple is developing a new foldable product with a screen that, when folded, the bottom can become a kind of virtual keyboard.
Apple is also rumored to be working with LG to create an ultra-thin glass cover that could be used in the company’s foldable products, though it’s unclear if the material would be used in an iPhone or iPad.
