Apple launches an app on Android to locate AirTags

Tracker Detect is the application that Apple has decided to add to the Google Play Store.

Which will allow you to find an AirTag quickly and easily, without using an iPhone.

Apple has launched its new Tracker Detect applicationfor Android devices , with which it seeks to help users of these mobiles to find their own AirTag locators  or discover if someone is watching them with them.

As Apple explains on the Tracker Detect Google Play page , this new app “searches for item trackers that are separate from their owner and that are compatible with Apple’s Find My network .”

These locators items include the Airtag of Apple , which until now could only be detected using mobile iOS , feature that now comes to Android . Compatible devices from other companies are also added.

“If you think someone is using AirTag or another device to track your location, you can scan to try to find it,” explained Apple in reference to possible surveillance cases.

8 months on the market

This feature comes to Android eight months after the original launch of the AirTags, which took place in April shortly after its introduction. This product is intended to be able to locate lost objects through the mobile.

The AirTags are priced at US $ 29 and will also feature a package of 4 AirTags at US $ 99.
