Apple TV + has won at auction a new project starring.
It written and directed by Seth Rogen , centered on a historic Hollywood studio struggling to survive in a world where the coexistence of art and commerce is increasingly difficult.
Rogen will co-write the series with partner Evan Goldberg , with whom he made Let’s Get It Over, The Interview and Preacher , among others. Showrunners will be Peter Huyck and Alex Gregory , veterans of the Veep series and creators of The White House Plumbers , an upcoming HBO miniseries about the Watergate scandal. Rogen and Goldberg will also be directors and executive producers with their Point Gray, along with Huyck, Gregory, Alex McAtee and Josh Fagen . The series will be produced by Lionsgate Television.
Along with Lionsgate, Point Gray has also produced Pam & Tommy and a series by Jason Woliner , director of Borat , which will go to Peacock. But Point Gray is also behind hits like The Boys and Invincible for Prime Video, for which it will also produce a series inspired by the movie Sausage Party . For her part, Rogen will soon return to the cinema in The Fabelmans , the new film by Steven Spielberg arriving on December 22nd.
