During the 2023 Winter Television Critics Association press tour, Apple TV+ unveiled the line-up of series that will debut in 2023.
As stated by Matt Cherniss , head of domestic programming for Apple TV+:

Whether it’s new seasons of award-winning shows or brand new stories with the power to captivate an ever-growing audience, there’s something for everyone to watch on Apple TV+.
We therefore know all the titles arriving on the platform.
Traveling with Eugene Levy – Out February 24th
“Traveling with Eugene Levy” follows Levy as he travels to some of the world’s most beautiful and spectacular destinations, enjoying exciting adventures with new friends, including diving in a sound bath in the Maldives, floating on ice in Finland, contact with the Navajo Nation in Utah, command a sailboat in Lisbon, taste the food culture of Tokyo, and journey into the jungles of Costa Rica. Along the way, Levy also stays at extraordinary hotels, including the historic Venice’s Gritti Palace and a hotel suspended over a railway track above South Africa’s Kruger National Park.
While aware that he is not the typical touring host, nor does he usually have an adventurous spirit, nor is he an expert on traveling around the world, Eugene Levy is convinced that the time has finally come to broaden his horizons. So he packs his suitcase with some trepidation and with the hope that this experience will open up a whole new chapter in his life, even if it might involve facing some of his biggest fears about him. Join him as he buckles up for surprising and enlightening adventures!
Ted Lasso Season 3 – Out this spring
After officially joining the ranks of the most popular comedies in history, thanks to two Emmy wins for Outstanding Comedy Series for the first and second seasons, “Ted Lasso” will return for its highly anticipated third season this spring.
The series stars Jason Sudeikis as Ted Lasso, a college football coach from Kansas who is hired to coach a professional soccer team in England, despite having no experience as a soccer coach. But what he lacks in knowledge, he makes up for in optimism, underdog determination… and cookies.
The award-winning Apple Original comedy also stars Hannah Waddingham, Brendan Hunt, Jeremy Swift, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Phil Dunster, Nick Mohammed and Sarah Niles.
Jason Sudeikis also serves as an executive producer, along with Bill Lawrence through his Doozer Productions, in association with Warner Bros. Television and Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group. Doozer’s Jeff Ingold is also executive producing with Liza Katzer serving as co-executive producer. The series was developed by Sudeikis himself, Bill Lawrence, Brendan Hunt and Joe Kelly and is based on the pre-existing format and characters of NBC Sports.
Truth Be Told Season 3 – Releases January 20
Gabrielle Union joins Academy Award® winner Octavia Spencer in the third season of “Truth Be Told,” the NAACP Image Award-winning anthology drama series, which premieres the first of ten episodes January 20 on Apple TV+. “Truth Be Told” stars Octavia Spencer as Poppy Scoville, a podcaster willing to do anything – even risking her life – to pursue truth and justice. Based on the novel “Are You Were Sleeping” by Kathleen Barber, “Truth Be Told” offers a unique look at America’s obsession with true crime podcasts and leads audiences to consider what the flip side is when the search for justice is given in the hands of public opinion.
Season 3 will see Poppy focus on a new case, while Gabrielle Union will play Eva, an outspoken and unorthodox high school principal who becomes involved in a troubling incident. “Truth Be Told” is conceived by Nichelle Tramble Spellman, who also serves as an executive producer, as well as showrunner Maisha Closson (“Claws,” “Homicide and crime”), who also directs the new season’s episodes. Octavia Spencer is executive producer.
The island of shapes – Out on January 20th
“Shape Island” is a new stop motion series for children and families based on the bestselling Shapes trilogy of picture books by Mac Barnett and Jon Klassen. Debuting January 20 on Apple TV+, the series is a smart, funny and thought-provoking tale that takes place on an enchanting island and invites viewers to join the earnest Square, the intrepid Circle, and the insidious Triangle. in their adventures, while, always full of fun, they look for answers and build their friendship. All while learning to manage and respect each other’s differences and showing children that friendship can take many forms.
“Island of Shapes” is voiced by Yvette Nicole Brown as the narrator, Harvey Guillen as the voice of the Square, Scott Adsit as the Triangle, and Gideon Adlon as the Circle.
The series was co-created by Mac Barnett and Jon Klassen, who also executive produce alongside Emmy winners Kelli Bix Bixler and Drew Hodges of Bix Pix Entertainment.
Shrinking – Out February 27th
“Shrinking” is the new Apple Original comedy starring Jason Segel and written by “Ted Lasso” co-creator and Emmy Award winner Bill Lawrence, “Ted Lasso” star, writer and executive producer Brett Goldstein and Jason Segel himself. The series, which also stars Harrison Ford in one of his first notable television roles, follows a grieving therapist (played by Jason Segel) who begins to break the rules by telling his clients exactly what he thinks, thus ignoring his education and ethics and finding himself causing tumultuous changes in people’s lives…including his own. Alongside Jason Segel and Harrison Ford, in the cast of the series we find Christa Miller, Jessica Williams, Michael Urie, Luke Tennie and Lukita Maxwell.
“Shrinking” is produced by Warner Bros. Television, with which Bill Lawrence has an overall agreement, and by Doozer Productions of the same Lawrence who is executive producer together with Segel, Brett Goldstein, Neil Goldman, James Ponsoldt, Randall Winston, Jeff Ingold and Lisa Katzer. Lawrence, Segel and Goldstein are also the creators of the series of which they wrote the first episode, directed by James Ponsoldt.
Dear Edward – Out February 3rd
Produced by Apple Studios, written and directed by Jason Katims, who is also an executive producer “Dear Edward” is an exciting, encouraging and uplifting story about survival, resilience, the bonds between people and the examination of what makes us human. The 10-episode series is adapted from Ann Napolitano’s bestseller of the same name and stars an ensemble cast that includes Emmy nominee Connie Britton, SAG Award winner Taylor Schilling and newcomer Colin O’Brien.
“Dear Edward” tells the story of Edward Adler (played by Colin O’Brien), a 12-year-old boy who survives a dramatic plane crash that kills all the other passengers on the flight, including his family. As Edward and others around the world affected by the tragedy try to make sense of life after the accident, friendships are forged, romances are born and unexpected communities are formed. The series finds Jason Katims and Connie Britton together again after their collaboration in the Emmy-winning film “Friday Night Lights”; to complete the cast, alongside Schilling and O’Brien, we find Amy Forsyth, Eva Ariel Binder, Brittany S. Hall, Idris Debrand, Carter Hudson, Maxwell Jenkins, Jenna Qureshi, Audrey Corsa, Anna Uzele, Ivan Shaw and Dario Ladani Sanchez .
Hello Tomorrow! – Out February 17th
“Hello Tomorrow!” is the new Apple Original dramedy starring and executive produced by Emmy and Critics Choice winner Billy Crudup. Set in a retro-future world, the series follows a group of street vendors who sell lunar timeshares. Billy Crudup plays Jack, a highly talented and ambitious salesman whose unwavering faith in a brighter tomorrow inspires his colleagues, revitalizes his most desperate customers, but threatens to leave him dangerously lost in the very dream that sustains him . In addition to Crudup, the cast includes Haneefah Wood, Alison Pill, Nicholas Podany, Dewshane Williams, Emmy Award winner Hank Azaria, Matthew Maher and Academy Award® nominee Jacki Weaver.

Liaison – Out February 24th
“Liaison” is a new six-episode thriller series starring César Award winner Vincent Cassel and BAFTA Award winner Eva Green, and the first Apple Original series in French and English. A high-voltage contemporary thriller that investigates how the mistakes of our past have the potential to destroy our future. The series combines action with an unpredictable and multilayered storyline, in which espionage and political intrigue get in the way of a long and passionate love story. In addition to Cassel, the series also stars Eva Green, Peter Mullan, Cesar Award winner Gerard Lanvin, Daniel Francis, Stanislas Merhar, Irene Jacob, Laetitia Eido, Eriq Ebouaney, BAFTA rising star Bukky Bakray and winner by Emmy Thierry Fremont.
“Liaison” is created and written by Virginie Brac and is directed by Emmy Award winner Stephen Hopkins. Extrapolations – Over the Limit – Out March 17th

My Kind of Country – Out March 24th
Starring Reese Witherspoon and Kacey Musgraves, “My Kind of Country” is a new series that reimagines music talent shows, breaking down barriers to country music and providing an extraordinary opportunity for diverse and innovative artists from around the world. Scouts Allen, Guyton and Peck pick a handful of up-and-coming artists to invite them to the home of country music in Nashville, Tennessee, and help showcase their talents to audiences. The contest winner will receive a life-changing prize from Apple Music, giving them unprecedented record support and exposure on the platform.
Reese Witherspoon and Kacey Musgraves are executive producers on the series along with Hello Sunshine’s Sara Rea and Lauren Neustadter and Sandbox Entertainment’s Jason Owen, Emmy-nominated showrunner Izzie Pick Ibarra and Done + Dusted’s Katy Mullan. Emmy winner Adam Blackstone is the musical director.
Schmigadoon Season 2 – Out April 7th
Season 2 of “Schmigadoon!”, the Emmy and AFI Award-winning hit musical comedy created by co-creator Cinco Paul, will return for a second season with six episodes filled with original songs and all-new guest stars.
After finding true love in the town of Schmigadoon, the second season of the series will reunite Josh (Keegan-Michael Key) and Melissa (Cecily Strong) in Schmicago, the reimagined world of 60s and 70s musicals. The new season, which will include new original songs from co-creator and executive producer Cinco Paul, stars Cecily Strong, Keegan-Michael Key, Ariana DeBose, Martin Short, Dove Cameron, Jaime Camil, Kristin Chenoweth, Alan Cumming, Ann Harada, Jane Krakowski and Aaron Tveit; they will be joined by Tituss Burgess and Patrick Page.
“Schmigadoon!” is co-created by Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio and produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group and Broadway Video. Cinco Paul also serves as showrunner and wrote all original songs for the series, while Lorne Michaels serves as executive producer.
