Riot Games and Netflix have announced the return of the animated series Arcane , which has received the order for a second season.
The show, which launched in three installments on the Netflix platform this month, was a great success, in the week of November 8 it was the second most viewed series on the platform globally. According to data provided by Netflix, the first six episodes were viewed for a total of 34.1 million hours worldwide.

Creators Christian Linke and Alex Yee said:
“We are delighted with the positive response to the first season of ‘Arcane’ and are working hard with the creative geniuses of Riot and Fortiche to deliver the second season.”
Arcane finished 16th in IMBD’s Top 250 TV series, while Riot pitched the series to his Twitch followers, where it peaked at 1.8 million connected viewers. Twitch said it was the sixth highest result ever, for a single trending term.
The synopsis of the first season:
Arcane explores the delicate balance between the wealthy city of Piltover and the seedy side of Zaun. The tensions between these two city-states come to a breaking point with the creation of Hextech, which each can use to control magical energy in Piltover. Meanwhile in Zaun, a new drug called shimmer turns humans into monsters.
The rivalry between cities divides families and friends as Arcane brings to life the relationships that shape some of the most popular League of Legends champions such as Vi, Jinx, Caitlyn, Jayce and Viktor. Inspired by the world of the League of Legends video game, the animated series presents a complex universe characterized by moral decisions, breathtaking animation and suspenseful storytelling.
