Gauls and Romans once again against each other, this time to save the Middle Kingdom – or China – in the new live action adaptation inspired by the works of Uderzo and Goscinny .


Astérix and Obélix, this time with the faces of Guillaume Canet and Gilles Lellouche, clash against Caesar again in Asterix & Obelix: The Middle Kingdom  ( Astérix et Obélix: l’empire du Milieu ).

the fifth live action film with these characters from in Italian cinemas today with Notorious Pictures . An unreleased clip in Italian arrives today, starring Vincent Cassel (Cesare) and Zlatan Ibrahimović(the centurion-champion named Antivirus ).

The synopsis:

It is the year 50 BC and the Empress of China has just been imprisoned following a coup d’état by the evil Prince Deng Tsin Qin.
Aided by Finalthesis, the Phoenician merchant, and her faithful bodyguard Mai Wei, the only daughter of the empress, Princess Sass-Yi, flees to Gaul to ask for help from the two brave warriors Asterix and Obelix, endowed with a superhuman thanks to their magic potion.
Our two inseparable heroes gladly agree to help the princess save her mother and free her country. Thus begins a great journey and adventure on the way to China.
But even Caesar and his powerful army, thirsty for a new conquest, are heading towards the Middle Kingdom…

Asterix & Obelix: Middle Kingdom  will be released in French theaters from  February 1, 2023 . Notorius Pictures will distribute the film in Italian cinemas from February 2, 2023 .
