The second Avengers movie to be released in 2025. The first is Avengers: The Kang Dynasty , scheduled for May. of the same year, which will instead be written by Jeff Loveness ( Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania ) and directed by Destin Daniel Cretton ( Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings ). According to Deadline sources , Avengers: Secret Wars will have a different director.

For now, nothing is known about the two films , apart from the release dates: May 2 and November 8, respectively. Michael Waldron emerged at the top of the list for the job after Marvel met with other potential screenwriters. Waldron has already earned the trust of the House of Ideas, which increasingly tends to call the same people in key roles (as in the case of Cretton and Matt Shakman , director of WandaVision who will direct Fantastic Four ).

Currently, Waldron is also busy with Loki ‘s second season , in the works. The first season introduced the multiverse, which has become so important in the latest Marvel productions, and Kang himself. No wonder Waldron was then chosen to write Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness . It is likely that The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars will also wallow in the multiverse, all the more reason to give the job to an employee already knowledgeable in the field.
