Marvel Studios are building the Avengers: The Kang Dynasty squad , announced during Comic-Con alongside Avengers: Secret Wars .
Well, we already know that the direction will be handled by Destin Daniel Cretton (the same as Shang-Chi and the legend of the ten rings ), while now Deadline reveals the name of the screenwriter: it is Jeff Loveness , who also wrote Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania .
It is clear that Kevin Feige prefers to rely on filmmakers and writers already experienced in the Marvel Cinematic Universe . Moreover, Loveness also has experience in writing Kang , the latter being the antagonist of Quantumania . Prior to joining the MCU , he co-produced Rick and Morty , where he wrote the episode Rick and Morty: Special Victims Unit (the one with the dragon in Season 4). He wrote an episode of Miracle Workers , and was one of the writers of Jimmy Kimmel Live! , also writing for the 2016 Emmys and2017 Oscar . He shares various precedents with the House of Ideas: he has written some comic stories of Spider-Man , Groot and Nova .
We know nothing of the plot, but it is clear that Kang the Conqueror ( Jonathan Majors ) will be at the center of the film, due out on May 2, 2025 . The Multiverse Saga will then close with Secret Wars , expected for November 7 of the same year.
We will keep you posted.
