BABYLON: DRUSILLA FOER TESTIMONIAL OF THE FILM IN AN OFFICIAL VIDEO

The new film by Damian Chazelle, Babylon, has adopted Drusilla Foer as an exceptional testimonial for Italy:

here is the video in which the artist brings to life the bohemian and glamorous atmospheres of Babylon in a special spot that evokes the spirit of the new film by Academy Award winner, Damien Chazelle, out January 19 through Eagle Pictures.

The synopsis

Babylon is a memorable tale set in 1920s Los Angeles. A story of outrageous ambition and outrageous excess, it traces the rise and fall of multiple characters in an age of wanton decadence and depravity in glittering Hollywood.

HERE the review

The protagonists of the film

Brad Pitt plays Jack Conrad , a fictional movie star inspired by John Gilbert, Clark Gable and Douglas Fairbanks .
Margot Robbie plays Nellie LaRoy , an aspiring actress catapulted into the limelight overnight.

Diego Calva ( Narcos: Mexico ) instead plays Manny Torres , a Mexican immigrant who represents the audience’s gaze into the world of Babylon . Jovan Adepo , Li Jun Li, Jean Smart and Tobey Maguire will also play fictional characters, while Max Minghella is producer Irving Thalberg .

Damien Chazelle’s most ambitious film

Chazelle described Babylon as his most ambitious project:

It’s definitely the hardest thing I’ve ever done. The logistics, the sheer number of characters, the lavishness of the scenes, the time span the film chronicles all made the project particularly complicated, but it was a particularly exciting challenge to take on.

The director enlisted some regular collaborators, such as cinematographer Linus Sandgren and composer Justin Hurwitz , both Oscar winners for La La Land , to create a film that captures “how big, how bold, how brash and how brazen” was the world of Hollywood at the time.

The rest of the cast includes Flea,  Samara Weaving , Phoebe Tonkin ( The Originals ), Eric Roberts, Katherine Waterston, Rory Scovel, Lukas Haas, PJ Byrne, Damon Gupton, Jonah Platt  and Telvin Griffin .

Babylon will arrive in Italy on January 19th.
