That’s good news for Bad Boys fans , because the fourth installment starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence is now official.
And it’s also good news for directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah , who, after the defeat of Batgirl , will return behind the camera for this new film. Also returning is screenwriter Chris Bremner , who also wrote the previous Bad Boys for Life .
The stars on Instagram thought about announcing the film, joking that perhaps they would have done better to keep the title of the third film for the fourth:

Jerry Bruckheimer , Smith (with his Westbrook), Doug Belgrad and Chad Oman will produce Bad Boys 4 , Lawrence, James Lassiter, Mike Stenson, Barry Waldman and Jon Mone will be executive producers. Sony will distribute as always. We don’t know the release date yet, but who knows if the film won’t come out in 2025, the year that will mark the thirtieth anniversary of the first chapter, directed by Michael Bay . For Will Smith it is also a strategic move, to further forget the discontent aroused by his slap on Chris Rock during last night of the Oscars.
