The arrival of ChatGPT and its recent integration with Bing has revived competition among search engines .

After Google accidentally unveiled Bard , its artificial intelligence search chatbot , the leading search engine company is looking to refine it.

To do this, it is essential that the same Google workers train Bard , who inaccurately answered a question asked during a Google demo .

bard’s mistake

During the demo, a user asked Bard , “What new discoveries from the James Webb Space Telescope can I tell my 9-year-old son?” The artificial intelligence responded with a series of bullet points including one that reads “JWST took the first images of a planet outside our own solar system,” an erroneous statement.

According to NASA , the first image showing an exoplanet (any planet outside of our solar system) was taken by the European Southern Observatory’s Very Large Telescope nearly two decades ago, in 2004.

Google training Bard

Google last week ordered its workers to spend two to three hours helping to train Bard .

Jack Krawczyk, said in an internal communication, that the company believes that adding “high quality” responses dramatically improves the quality of artificial intelligence .

Krawczyk has asked workers to ask Bard about topics in which they consider themselves experts. Faced with a “very human” answer, wrong, inaccurate or that does not make sense, they will have to rewrite it to improve Bard .
