Idris Elba is the protagonist of Beast , the new film by Baltasar Kormákur premiered on Sunday 18 September and from 22 September #SoloAlCinema.
In the film, the actor plays a man forced into a frightening struggle for survival when a lion, who has survived bloodthirsty poachers, begins to haunt him and his daughters.

The synopsis:
Idris Elba plays Dr. Nate Samuels, a recently widowed husband who returns to South Africa, where he met his wife, for a long-planned trip with his daughters to a game reserve run by Martin Battles (Sharlto Copley), a old family friend and wildlife biologist. What begins as a healing journey turns into a frightening struggle for survival when a lion, who has survived bloodthirsty poachers, begins to haunt them feeling threatened by humans.

Sharlto Copley (District 9, Russian Doll, Maleficent) completes the cast; Iyana Halley (The Courage of Truth – The Hate U Give, and the TV series This is Us) as Daniels’ 18-year-old daughter Meredith; Leah Sava Jeffries (TV series Rel and Empire) in those of 13-year-old Norah.
Written by Ryan Engle (Rampage, Non-Stop), the film is based on an original story written by Jaime Primak Sullivan , one of the executive producers with Bernard Bellew .
