Kevin Feige and the protagonist Mahershala Ali will be the producers of the film. The latter has already made his debut in the role of the Diurno: we have in fact heard his voice in the post-credits scene of Eternals .
Blade will be released on September 6, 2024 in US theaters.
The Diurnal
Blade , aka Eric Brooks , was created by Marv Wolfman (text) and Gene Colan (art) in 1973, first appearing as a supporting character in The Tomb of Dracula series . Originally, Eric was born from the relationship between a vampire and a human, but later his genesis was changed: now he is the son of a prostitute who is bitten by a vampire – Deacon Frost – as she was about to give birth . Eric then finds himself with the powers of a vampire, but without the weaknesses.
