BOX OFFICE: JURASSIC WORLD: DOMINATION GETS $ 18M FROM PREVIEWS

Jurassic World: Domination has also arrived in North America.

Universal / Amblin film grossed $ 18M from previews, shows started yesterday at 4p.m. to which are added other screenings from the beginning of the week in 4,150 cinemas. Most of the proceeds were collected last night.

A result slightly below the $ 19.3M grossed two weeks ago by Top Gun: Maverick which again included the shows before previews.

The Jurassic World premieres started at 7p.m., the film grossed $ 18.5M and then rolled out to $ 81.95M on opening day. Three years after Jurassic World – Fallen Kingdom got $ 15.3M from previews, always starting at 7p.m. in 3600 theaters, it grossed $ 58.5M in the first day.

From today, the film will be available in 4,676 theaters and in premium formats including 3D and IMAX.

On Rotten Tomatoes the film gets 33% positive from critics and 79% from audiences, weekend screenings are a gross of $ 125M.

In 2018 Jurassic World – Fallen Kingdom had a 47% positive rating from critics on RT and A- on Cinemascore , opening with $ 148M. In 2015 Jurassic World had a 71% positive rating on RT and A on Cinemascore , had grossed $ 208.8M.

The film has a net cost of $ 185M plus global marketing and distribution expenses.

The rest of the box office

On its second Thursday Top Gun: Maverick grossed $ 9.1M (-26% from Wednesday) bringing the total to $ 343.3M. The film became Jerry Bruckheimer ‘s second most successful title after Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest ($ 423M).

It lost 489 premium screens going to Jurassic World 3.

Everything Everywhere All At Once grossed $ 228k from 1,434 screens yesterday, for a total of $ 61.76M.

Crimes of the Future grossed $ 1.63M from 773 screens this week.
