Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania debuted at #1 at the Korean box office.
On its first day in theaters on Wednesday, the film grossed $1.4M like Black Panther: Wakanda Forever .
If we compare its performance against other MCU films, during the pandemic, it is the second lowest result after Shang-Chi ($1.2M).
In 2018 the second chapter had opened with $2.7M.
Today the film grossed $783,000, better than Shang-Chi ($681,000) but a far cry from Doctor Strange 2 ‘s $8.8M , despite a drop of -44.1% compared to the first day in theaters.
In two days, Quantumania grossed $2.19M.

After 44 days in theaters The First Slam Dunk reached the 3 million mark, becoming the only film of 2023 in Korea to have achieved this result.
The film has held the top spot for 19 consecutive days, setting the record for longest stay at the top spot in 2023.
According to CGV, the public is made up of 52.9% women and 47.1% men, from 18.7% of twenty-year-olds on February 1st to 23.8% on February 16th.
It also surpassed your name’s entire collection . (₩30,667,764,675) by Makoto Shinkai , becoming the highest-grossing Japanese animated film ever. In terms of tickets, however, it is still behind, 3,012,281 against 3,798,599 for the Shinkai film .
From February 17 until April the film will also be distributed on IMAX screens.
