Production on Captain America: New World Order has begun in Atlanta, Georgia, and Just Jared has released the first set photos featuring Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson .
The images don’t reveal anything, but in the next few weeks (if not in the next few days) there will surely be more shots from the outdoor shoot, and maybe we’ll find out more. It seems that Sam will have a new costume, so it cannot be excluded that the “stolen” photos will allow us to give him a first look.
Plot news is a bit mixed: We know The Leader ( Tim Blake Nelson ) will be the antagonist, but there are rumors that other supervillains will appear as well. There has been talk of a brief appearance by Bucky ( Sebastian Stan ) lately , which would make sense considering his role in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and subsequent move to Thunderbolts . However, the film will be set in the post- Avengers “new world order ,” as the team no longer exists at this time.
The release is expected on May 3, 2024 . You will be able to see the photos through the following tweet.
