John Cena joined the cast of Coyote vs. Acme , a Warner Bros. film to be directed by Dave Green

Based on the New Yorker article of the same name by Ian Frazier , adapted by Samy Burch , Coyote vs. Acme will see the famous Willy the Coyote (Wile E. Coyote) grappling with a lawsuit against ACME, the fictional company of the Looney Tunes universe, accused by the coyote of having made him fail too many times in his eternal hunt for Road Runner. Willy hires a lawyer to assist him, but the problem is that the ACME boss is the former head of the lawyer. A friendship will arise between Willy and the lawyer that will foment their desire for revenge.
James Gunn produces
Chris DeFaria and James Gunn (who directed John Cena in the Peacemaker series , renewed for a second season recently) will produce, the latter through his company Two Monkeys, A Goat and Another, Dead, Monkey. Coyote vs. Acme will be released in American theaters on July 21, 2023.
Next up, Cena will appear in the spy film Argylle , directed by Matthew Vaughn and starring Henry Cavill, Bryce Dallas Howard, Samuel L. Jackson, Ariana DeBose, Sam Rockwell, Dua Lipa and Bryan Cranston .
