Decision to Leave , which will be presented in competition at Cannes. Now, CJ Entertainment has unveiled the teaser trailer for the film, which centers on a “serious and diligent” detective ( Park Hae-il , seen in The Host and Memories of Murder ) who falls in love with a mysterious widow ( Tang Wei of Lust and Blackhat ), suspected number one in the investigation of her husband’s murder. The cast of Decision to Leave will also see Go Kyung-pyo , Park Yong-woo and Lee Jung-hyun . Park Chan-wook co-wrote the script with Seo-kyeong Jeong , with whom he also worked on I’m a Cyborg, But That’s Ok , Thirst and Mademoiselle . Park produces with Go Dae-suk. Decision to Leave was produced by Moho Film and financed mainly by the Korean giant CJ Entertainment, which will also handle distribution in South Korea.
The plot
Detective Hae-joon (Park Hae-il) is tasked with investigating the mysterious death of a man who fell from the top of a mountain. During the investigation, which takes place in the mountain community the victim came from, Hae-joon begins to develop an interest in the man’s widow, Seo-rae (Tang Wei), who is one of the suspects.
The Cannes Film Festival 2022 will run from 17 to 28 May.
