According to an OSIPTEL study , at the end of the third quarter of 2022, more than 1 million fiber optic connections were reported in Peru.
At the beginning of 2017, there were only 5,331 fixed internet connections with fiber optics in Peru.
According to the same report, as of September 2022, the participation of fiber optic companies nationwide was as follows: Telefónica (40.9%), WI-NET + Optical Technologies (24.8%), Claro (14.2%), WOW (8.2% ), Fiberlux + Fiberlux Tech + Fiberline (3.1%) and others (8.8%).
