Marvel Studios have officially broken the silence on some characters featured in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness .
The reference is obviously to the Illuminati , even if Professor Xavier (Patrick Stewart) and Reed Richards (John Krasinski) are still missing.
The new spot below shows Captain Carter (Hayley Atweel), Captain Marvel (who in this version is Maria Rambeau, hence Lashana Lynch) and Black Arrow (Anson Mount). There is also Baron Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor).
The plot of the movie
In the Marvel Studios movie Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the Marvel Cinematic Universe expands the boundaries of the Multiverse to the highest levels. A journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses dangerous and shocking alternate realities of the Multiverse to face a mysterious new adversary.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is played by Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez , with Michael Stühlbarg and Rachel McAdams .
The film is directed by Sam Raimi and produced by Kevin Feige . Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Eric Hauserman Carroll and Jamie Christopher are executive producers. The screenplay was written by Michael Waldron .
