the illustrator Jerry Wilson has shared the other two, again for the line Marvel Legends of Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness .

The first portrays Chiwetel Ejiofor with the new look of Baron Mordo , a sorcerer who in the first film was Strange’s ally , but later turned his back on him because he was disgusted by his continued violation of natural laws. In the sequel he will therefore be one of the antagonists, as we have seen in the teaser trailer . Wilson calls him Master Mordo , and some speculate that he is actually a variant of the Mordo we know of… maybe coming from the universe of Strange Supremo ? Not necessarily, but we’ll see.

The second promo art is instead dedicated to Defender Strange ( Benedict Cumberbatch ). We do not know if it is a variant of the original Strange – therefore coming from an alternate reality of the multiverse – or an evolution of it. On the other hand, the Lord of the Mystical Arts has been wearing the same costume for years, so it cannot be ruled out that Marvel Studios wanted to change it. In the comics, Strange has actually been part of a team known as the Defenders , featuring the Silver Surfer , Hulk , Namor, and other characters.

You can see the images below, but first I remind you that the release of the cinecomic has been postponed to May 4, 2022 .
