Entrance , a Brazilian ticketing site, reports that Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness will last 148 minutes (2 hours and 28, in other words).
There are no official confirmations yet, but it sounds likely.
By now Hollywood blockbusters have accustomed us to lengths well over two hours, and cinecomics are no less, also because they often tell far-reaching “epic” stories.
In this specific case, moreover, we are talking about a film that promises to be full of characters, including protagonists and special appearances. There will be Strange , Scarlet Witch , Wong , America Chavez , Mordo , Christine Palmer , Rintrah and Gargantos , to which will be added several cameos and variants from the multiverse. Among them we will even find the Illuminati, so it’s clear that the sequel is going to have to unravel a pretty tight skein. In short, such a duration was taken for granted.
If confirmed, Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness will rank fourth among the longest films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe , on a par with Spider-Man: No Way Home . The top three are Avengers: Endgame , Eternals , and Avengers: Infinity War .
