“Executives at Boring Co., Elon Musk ‘s tunneling operation , have discussed and investigated founding the city in Bastrop County, about 35 miles from Austin. This would allow Musk to put some regulations in his own municipality and make his plans faster, according to people familiar with Musk’s plans,” the Wall Street Journal reported .
While some sources indicate that Elon Musk wants Tesla and Boring Co. employees who work at nearby facilities to be able to access affordable housing, others indicate that Elon Musk has more ambitious plans, such as creating his own city.
