Virtual server company Cloudzy looked at five of the most popular browsers among Windows users to find out.
As a basis for the analysis, Cloudzy evaluated the RAM consumption of Google Chrome , Mozilla Firefox , Brave, Opera, and Microsoft Edge when opening four tabs.
Google Chrome is the one that consumes more RAM
In analysis confirmed that Google Chrome is still “guilty” of consuming more RAM among all browsers.
With 10 tabs open, Chrome consumes just over 1000MB of RAM. 20 tabs would mean 1.9GB.
Cloudzy points out that Chrome also has a greater effect on the processor.
Mozilla Firefox , Brave and Opera consume less RAM than Google Chrome , but there is a big winner after this review.
Microsoft Edge consumes the least RAM
Microsoft has learned from the bad reputation that its previous browser, Internet Explorer , gained .
Microsoft Edge is built on Chromium , but it’s much more efficient than Google Chrome.
Opening 10 tabs occupies 790MB of RAM in this browser, which barely reaches 1.2GB with 20 tabs open.
