The series of “Downton Abbey” aired between 2010 and 2015, winning a legion of fans. The story takes place in the early 20th century, as the Crawley family struggles to maintain the legacy of the Downton Abbey estate, and while we follow the owners’ problems, we also follow the manor’s employees and their daily routine. The 2019 feature accompanied the Crawley family during the visit of the King and Queen of England to the property. The new film follows the story shortly after its predecessor.

The creator of the series, Julian Fellowes, remains on the script, and the direction is now in the hands of Simon Curtis ( “Seven Days With Marilyn” ).

“Downton Abbey 2: Uma Nova Era” opens on March 18 in the United States, still without a Brazilian date.
