DUNE: PART TWO – AUSTIN BUTLER IN TALKS FOR FEYD-RAUTHA

Austin Butler (Elvis) is in talks for the role of Feyd-Rautha in Dune: Part Two , the character was played by Sting in David Lynch ‘s 1984 film.

In the novel he is described as a cruel, treacherous and cunning young man like his uncle, Baron Vladimir Harkonnen ( Stellan Skarsgard ).

The New York Times’ Kyle Buchanan revealed that Harry Styles and Tye Sheridan had also been considered for the role .

The cast

This is one of the three key roles currently in the casting phase, remember that Florence Pugh is in talks for Princess Irulan. The last role is that of Emperor Shaddam IV who sent House Atreides to Arrakis.

Confirmed the return of Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Javier Bardem and Josh Brolin , and director, producer and co-writer Denis Villeneuve .

History

The second part will continue the story told in Frank Herbert ‘s novel , with Paul Atreides (Chalamet) fighting alongside the Fremen to free the planet of Arrakis from the clutches of House Harkonnen.

Villeneuve previously stated that the Harkonnen would have a bigger role in the second part.
