DUNE: PART TWO – PRODUCTION OFFICIALLY STARTED

Production of Dune: Part Two has officially begun. The announcement was made through the social media accounts of the film:

In March,  we found out  that the film will have more IMAX scenes.

History

The second part will continue the story told in Frank Herbert ‘s novel , with Paul Atreides (Chalamet) fighting alongside the Fremen to free the planet of Arrakis from the clutches of House Harkonnen.

Villeneuve previously stated that the Harkonnen would have a bigger role in the second part.

The cast

The new entries are: Florence Pugh (Princess Irulan), Souheila Yacoub (Shishakli), Léa Seydoux (Lady Margot), Christopher Walken (the galactic emperor Shaddam IV) and Austin Butler (Feyd-Rautha).

Confirmed the return of Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Zendaya, Javier Bardem and Josh Brolin , and director, producer and co-writer Denis Villeneuve .

Dune: Part Two will be released in US theaters from November 17, 2023 .
