Deadline confirmed the news we reported two weeks ago: part of the shooting of Dune: Part Two is taking place in Veneto, at the Tomba Brion in San Vito di Altivole, in the province of Treviso.
Deadline talks about “pre-shooting”, so it’s possible that Denis Villeneuve (who had also been spotted in recent weeks) and the cast have not shown up and that the production is only shooting exteriors to be integrated with indoor scenes. Filming at the Brion Tomb started today and will continue until tomorrow.
The cast will then reunite in the studio in Budapest, where principal photography will start on 21 July. Dune: Part Two was recently postponed by one month to November 17, 2023, a release coinciding with Thanksgiving .
