EARL BOEN, DR. SILBERMAN FROM THE TERMINATOR, HAS DIED

Earl Boen , character actor with a long career, best known for his role as psychologist Peter Silberman in the Terminator saga.

He has passed away at the age of 81. The actor had recently discovered that he had lung cancer.

Boen began his career in the 1970s and retired in 2003, but continued to work as a voice actor for cartoons and video games, and as a radio announcer. Among the films in which he appeared we remember Mister Billiardo , opposite Terence Hill , From 9 to 5… continued hours, The Magnificent Seven in Space, The craziest plane in the world… crazier and crazier, To be or not to be, I married a ‘alien,  The Naked Gun 33 1/3 – The Final Insult and The Dentist .

But Earl Boen was most prolific on TV and, over the course of forty years, appeared in Kojak, Hawaii Five-O, The Jeffersons, Seinfeld, M*A*S*H, Parents in Blue Jeans , among others. , Eight Under One Roof, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Murder, She Wrote and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air . In addition, he has worked as a voice actor in the animated series of Batman, X-Men, Spider-Man, The Addams Family, Animaniacs, Dexter’s Laboratory and many others.

The role for which he will be remembered, however, is precisely that of Dr. Silberman: Boen played him in the first three chapters of the saga and, apart from Arnold Schwarzenegger , he is the only actor in the two James Cameron films to have appeared in Terminator 3 .
