Elemental is written and directed by Peter Sohn ( Journey of Arlo ) and produced by Denise Ream ( Cars 2, Journey of Arlo ), and is inspired by Sohn’s childhood in New York City. The cast includes Leah Lewis and Mamoudou Athie .
The plot
The film follows the story of an unusual couple, Ember and Wade, in a city whose inhabitants are fire, water, earth and air, and live together. The “ardent” young woman and the “going with the flow” boy are about to discover something fundamental: how much they really have in common.
