Elon Musk announces that he will leave the position of CEO of Twitter in six weeks: he has already found a replacement

Now Elon Musk will become CEO and CTO of Twitter .

Elon Musk has officially announced that he has found his replacement as CEO of Twitter , a position he will be leaving in the next six weeks.

Although he has not yet mentioned a name, he points out that this character (whom he referred to as ‘she’) has already been hired for what will be X , the company he aspires to reach with Twitter .

It’s not a total goodbye

Musk, in his Twitter post , points out that his role will now be executive president and CTO (Chief Technology Officer), thus overseeing company products, software development, and SysOps or system operator.

Since taking over Twitter, Elon Musk had signaled multiple times that his role as CEO was temporary and that he would soon pick someone else at the helm.

“I hope to reduce my time on Twitter and find someone else to manage it over time,” he said last November. “Frankly, I don’t want to be CEO of any company.”

On that occasion, he also slipped that his responsibilities were more for the supervision of hardware and software.

“At SpaceX, I’m really responsible for the engineering of the rockets and Tesla for the technology in the car that makes it successful,” he said. “So the CEO is often seen as a business-focused role, but in reality, my role is much more of an engineer who develops technology and makes sure that we develop innovative technologies and that we have a team of incredible engineers that They can achieve those goals.”

for X

Musk has always wanted to make a multifunctional app which he has called “ X ”.

On different occasions, he indicated that he wanted to create an app like WeChat is in China , with messaging, social networks, payment methods and more.

With Twitter is working on this destination. It has recently announced the arrival of encrypted messages and calls , in addition to promoting subscription payments and even cryptocurrencies .

“I kind of have a grander vision of what I thought X Corporation might have been in the past,” Musk said. “It’s a pretty grand vision and of course you could start from scratch, but I think Twitter would speed that up by three to five years,” he previously noted
