Now Elon Musk will become CEO and CTO of Twitter .
Elon Musk has officially announced that he has found his replacement as CEO of Twitter , a position he will be leaving in the next six weeks.

It’s not a total goodbye
Musk, in his Twitter post , points out that his role will now be executive president and CTO (Chief Technology Officer), thus overseeing company products, software development, and SysOps or system operator.
Since taking over Twitter, Elon Musk had signaled multiple times that his role as CEO was temporary and that he would soon pick someone else at the helm.
“I hope to reduce my time on Twitter and find someone else to manage it over time,” he said last November. “Frankly, I don’t want to be CEO of any company.”
On that occasion, he also slipped that his responsibilities were more for the supervision of hardware and software.
“At SpaceX, I’m really responsible for the engineering of the rockets and Tesla for the technology in the car that makes it successful,” he said. “So the CEO is often seen as a business-focused role, but in reality, my role is much more of an engineer who develops technology and makes sure that we develop innovative technologies and that we have a team of incredible engineers that They can achieve those goals.”
Excited to announce that I’ve hired a new CEO for X/Twitter. She will be starting in ~6 weeks!
My role will transition to being exec chair & CTO, overseeing product, software & sysops.
