Will Smith continues to pay the consequences of what happened last night at the Oscars.
When the actor took the stage live worldwide to slap his colleague Chris Rock , busy with his monologue.
As reported by Variety, Apple has decided to postpone the release of Emancipation , the film directed by Antoine Fuqua that sees Will Smith as a slave on the run during the American Civil War, until 2023. Apple had not yet announced a release date for the film, but it appears that this shift is a direct consequence of the climate surrounding Smith at the time anyway. As always we will keep you updated on every development.
Fast & Loose and Bad Boys 4 on hiatus
As we know, the incident is having repercussions on Will Smith ‘s career , his other future projects have also been put on hold.
The first is the Netflix movie Fast & Loose , announced last summer. It should be noted that from this point of view it seems that the departure of director David Leitch , who left the project for another Universal film, also had an impact . It seems that, prior to the Oscar incident, Netflix was looking for a replacement for directing, considering it a priority. The situation has obviously changed.
Same fate also for Bad Boys 4, apparently, currently paused by Sony.
