Searchlight Pictures presents a new clip from Empire of Light.
The new film by Sam Mendes starring Olivia Colman, Micheal Ward and Toby Jones arriving in Italian cinemas on February 23rd.
Set in an English coastal town in the early 1980s, the film is described as “a powerful and moving story about human bonds and the magic of cinema”.
Sam Mendes also wrote the screenplay for Empire of Light , and it’s his first time writing a film by himself (he had previously written 1917 with Krysty Wilson-Cairns ). The cast consists of Olivia Colman, Micheal Ward, Tom Brooke, Tanya Moodie, Hannah Onslow, Crystal Clarke, Toby Jones and Colin Firth . Searchlight Pictures will distribute the film in the USA, while it will be released here by The Walt Disney Company Italia.
