The magic of Encanto has given each child in the family a unique power, from super strength to the power to heal. Everyone except Mirabel. But when she discovers that the magic surrounding Encanto is in danger, Mirabel decides that she, the only ordinary Madrigal, may be her extraordinary family’s last hope.
The film is directed by Jared Bush (co-director of Zootropolis ) and Byron Howard ( Zootropolis, Rapunzel ), co-directed by Charise Castro Smith (screenwriter of The Death of Eva Sofia Valdez ) and produced by Yvett Merino and Clark Spencer . The screenplay is written by Castro Smith and Bush . Encanto includes original songs from Emmy, GRAMMY and Tony Award winner Lin-Manuel Miranda ( Hamilton, Oceania ), while Germaine Franco ( Dora and the Lost City, Little Boss, Catch Me!) composed the original score.
