Disney has released a new featurette of Encanto , the animated film arriving on November 24th.

The Italian voices

In the Italian version of the film, singer-songwriter and musician Alvaro Soler lends their voices in the role of Camilo, Mirabel’s cousin with the power to change his appearance to transform himself into whoever he wants; actor and director Luca Zingaretti as Bruno, Mirabel’s uncle with the gift of predicting the future; the actress and singer Diana Del Bufalo in that of Isabela, Mirabel’s sister, practically perfect and with the magical ability to make plants grow and flowers bloom; and Colombian actress Angie Cepeda as Julieta, Mirabel’s mother with the power to heal.
Alvaro Soler also interprets a song in the credits of the Italian version of the film.

The 60th Disney classic

Encanto is the 60th Disney classic. The film tells the story of an extraordinary family, the Madrigals, who live hidden in the mountains of Colombia, in a magical house, in a lively city, in a wonderful and enchanted place called Encanto. The magic of Encanto has given each child in the family a unique power, from super strength to the power to heal. Everyone except Mirabel. But when she discovers that the magic surrounding Encanto is in danger, Mirabel decides that she, the only ordinary Madrigal, may be her extraordinary family’s last hope.

The film is directed by Jared Bush (co-director of Zootropolis ) and Byron Howard ( Zootropolis, Rapunzel ), co-directed by Charise Castro Smith (screenwriter of The Death of Eva Sofia Valdez ) and produced by Yvett Merino and Clark Spencer . The screenplay is written by Castro Smith and Bush . Encanto includes original songs from Emmy, GRAMMY and Tony Award winner Lin-Manuel Miranda ( Hamilton, Oceania ), while Germaine Franco ( Dora and the Lost City, Little Boss, Catch Me!) composed the original score.
