EXPENDABLES 4: WILL ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER ALSO BE THERE? 30 May 2023• By Marco Triolo

Arnold Schwarzenegger recently spoke about his involvement in Expendables 4 .

the fourth installment of the saga of The Expendables which will be directed by Scott Waugh ( Act of Valor ). Interviewed by Parade , Schwarzenegger officially confirmed that his trench coat won’t be back this time. Here’s what he said:

[The movie] is over and I won’t be there. I said, “You know what? It’s something we’ve done before and I’m staying out this time. And [Sylvester Stallone] really got me. I did [the first one] as a favor for Sly. I shot it on a Saturday for two hours, quickly, inside a church with Bruce Willis. Sly said to me, “Can you do The Expendables 2 ?” and I shot it in a weekend. Then the thing was expanded in The Expendables 3 . And that’s enough. One day we’re going to do something together [Me and Stallone].

A promise that will always arouse the interest of fans of the two action icons, even if the limited success of Escape Plan suggests that the world of modern cinema is not equally interested in this pairing. Hope is the last to die.

Expendables 4 will bring back Jason Statham , promoted to star and team leader, Sylvester Stallone, Dolph Lundgren, Tony Jaa and Randy Couture . With them Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Megan Fox, Jacob Scipio, Levy Tran, Andy Garcia and Iko Uwais , star of The Raid who will be the villain of the moment here. This time, the mercenaries are supposed to go up against an arms dealer at the head of a private army. But the details are still scarce, although the release is not that far away: the film will arrive in the USA on September 22nd.
