The terror of the stalkers. Friend requests on Facebook were sent automatically when entering any profile.
Have you ever stalked a Facebook profile you don’t have as a friend? In those cases, people are careful not to ‘Like’ or leave traces of this visit. For them, the worst nightmare came true in these last days.
An error in the social network caused any user who entered another’s profile to automatically send a friend request, a fact that was reported with humor and fear at the same time on the Internet.
The terror of the stalkers
This problem was reported on Twitter, where some users and engineers verified that, just by entering any Facebook profile , the “Add friend” button automatically changes to “Invitation sent”.
The error was not visual: the friend request was actually sent.

Facebook never reported this bug, but it certainly ended up confirming it by pointing out a fix.
“We fixed a bug related to a recent app update, which caused some Facebook friend requests to be sent by mistake. We have prevented this from happening and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused,” the company wrote.
