The exclusive poster for the Chinese market of Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’s Secrets debuted online and immediately made headlines.
The reason? The absence of William Nadylam (Yusuf Kama) featured in the previous group posters:
Racial attitudes towards Africans were more evident during the pandemic.
Although China is serious about eliminating the mistreatment of foreigners, CNN reports that there is no record of punishment of those who have perpetuated acts of racism against Africans in China.
Furthermore, the provisions of article 4 of the Chinese constitution:
“All ethnic groups in the People’s Republic of China are equal… discrimination and oppression of any ethnic group is prohibited. It is forbidden to undermine ethnic unity and create ethnic divisions “,
it doesn’t seem to have any effect.
