Xiaomi began putting the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition for some models in the Asian market.
However, not all Chinese smartphone brands have been updated to MIUI 12.5. The version brings several improvements compared to the previous generation. This week has been released for the Redmi Note 7 Pro, a model released in the first half of 2019 by the manufacturer.
The device hit the market as an intermediate option, being equipped with the Snapdragon 675 processor, Adreno 612 GPU, 4 GB of RAM and MIUI 10, receiving later interface versions.
The new update was only released in India and arrived under build number V12.5.1.0.QFHINXM is being made available via OTA; users need to wait for the notification or access the phone’s settings to perform the update. It is recommended to perform a backup to prevent possible problems.
For now, we still don’t know if this device will receive the Enhanced Edition of the software or if other regions will also be covered. However, it is likely that it will since Xiaomi is known for globalizing its interface and covering even older models.
